I may be working on this one for a very, very long time. I have a tendency to get so excited about a new hobby that I buy a ton of stuff before I really know what I need. I get the need to be "doing something" and the most obvious thing to do is SHOP! Fabric, thread, stabilizers, pins, notions, fabric markers, ribbon, etc. etc. the list goes on and on. Lately I have not left Hobby Lobby for less than $30 - their fabric section kills me. That really starts to add up after a while. I get home, go thru my new treasures and realize that I don't have the stuff I really need nor do I need the stuff I just bought. **sigh**
My storage is pretty much non-existent just yet and I still don't have an actual home for the sewing machine. As you can see, it currently lives here....
My once somewhat organized space has slowly deteriorated into a mess yet again. I need to stop bringing stuff home until I have a safe and secure place to keep them.
My focus now will be on designing a project, pick one thing to create and then work my supplies around that. Not go thru my supplies and try to decide what I can turn it into. That only means I will find something is missing and have to go shopping anyway!
So, I resolve to focus on organizing my craft space before buying anything else...easier said than done, I think.
