Another Year, oh my!

I can hardly believe that is has been a solid year since my last post.   A lot has happened over the past 12 months and I hope to do some 'prequel' posting to fill in the gap.  In the mean time, I would like to draw your attention to the new profile picture now appearing to the right.  The biggest change over the last year should be readily apparent!!  **WARNING** Shameless Brag Moment to Follow

Old Me:

New Me:

In case you can't readily tell the difference, here is another glimpse into my transformation:

I realize this is a little off topic, but I just had to share this.  I have spent the last half of 2012 exercising and eating better (not great, but better).  I keep this picture handy whenever I start to get a little sidetracked or tempted to get lazy. Pretty cool, huh?  Can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings.

Another very cool thing that has happened over the last few months is the evolution of my craft room.  Yes, an actual craft ROOM.  I am so excited!! My sweet husband has been working on a big beautiful desk and its finally done. He installed a full outlet plug on the top at the corners for things like my lamp, mini iron, iPod dock, laptop, etc and the shelves inside the doors are adjustable.I know I could never find (or afford) anything like this pre-made.  I think he did a darn good job!

Ready for move in!!!

I am now working on deciding how to organize all my stuff that is currently scattered throughout my house.  I have been sewing at the kitchen table, but my supplies are where ever I could find space to keep them.  My lunch hour and evening to-do lists for myself are every changing and growing and every minute seems to be consumed with researching tutorials and blogs. I have discovered that searching the internet for "sewing room organization" is kinda dangerous and I have to limit my exposure to Pinterest for fear of overwhelming myself.

I will revisit my recovery step 3 as I move into my new space and create my own organization style.  I plan to gather all my crafting stuff from the various corners of my house and start dividing it into bins by category (fabric, notions, ironing supplies, embroidery stuff and trims) tonight.  Maybe once I have a grip on just how much stuff I have I will have a better idea how to layout my room.

Next on the Honey-Do list is a fantabulous new cutting table.  He tells me that it will be easier and therefore faster to build the desk.  This is a good thing because I am ready to start working!!
